Ms. Winters is an associate at Adams Silva & McNally LLP. Ms. Winters focuses her practice on a wide variety of legal issues facing school districts, including special education, labor and employment, student discipline issues, and governance.
Prior to joining Adams Silva & McNally, Ms. Winters was a post-bar clerk at an education law firm where she participated in mediations, prepared matters for IEP meetings, and attended school board meetings.
While attending the University of San Diego School of Law, Ms. Winters served as the Vice President for Advocates for Children and Education (ACE), a student-led program that focused on children’s rights in education. Alongside ACE, Ms. Winters served as the chair of Representatives for Youth in Academic Affairs (RYAA), a program designed to assist students in obtaining special education services. Ms. Winters also interned with the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program’s Education Law Project, negotiating with school officials to obtain special education services for students.
